PROGRAM OVERVIEW

JULY 11 - SEPTEMBER 21, 2019

On September 21, 2019, an extraordinary performing arts piece about the experiences of contemporary military veterans will debut at Chapman University's Musco Center for the Arts. Joining the professional dancers onstage will be the half-dozen U.S. military veterans whose personal stories went into creating the public performance.

We are asking you to be a part of this historic artistic event at Musco Center. You will have the opportunity to tell your story, through art and dance, in this collaboration between the internationally acclaimed DIVAOLO | Architecture in Motion, Musco Center, and Chapman's dedicated Veterans Resource Center and its Center for the Study of War and Society.

On the weekend of July 13 and 14, 2019, the project's artistic leadership will sit with you and other veterans to hear your stories which will inform the heart of the piece. Selected veterans will then join the dance company as performers, participating in a series of workshops to develop the new work before its debut as part of the September 21 DIAVOLO dance program that opens the Musco Center's 2019-20 Season.
